Day 1: Chengdu
Welcome to Chengdu!
Day 2-4: Lhasa
Transfer to airport to take flight for Lhasa, capital city of Tibet. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Spend next two days in and around Lhasa by visiting top sites including Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang temple and Barkhor bazaar.
Day 5: Lhasa – Gyantse
After breakfast transfer to Gyantse- referred as the third largest and famed town in Tibet. Visit legendary Kumbum chorten- a multi-storied form of Buddhist chapels in Tibetan Buddhism.
Day 6: Gyantse Sightseeing
See noted Kumbum chorten- a multi-storied form of Buddhist chapels in Tibetan Buddhism. The most famous Kumbum forms part of Palcho Monastery- known as Pelkor Chode Monastery or Shekar Gyantse is main monastery in the Nyangchu river valley in Gyantse.
Day 7: Gyantse – Shigatse
Transfer to Shigatse- regarded as the fertile land. Visit national parks, mountains, monasteries and lakes. Enjoy a hike over a 14,000 ft pass in the environs of Ngor Monastery, in the hills outside of Shigatse.
Day 8: Shegar
Known as New Tingri is a small town located at an altitude of 14,300 ft., where the early Everest expeditions took a break. It is the seat of Tingri County and is head quarter of Everest Nature Reserve.
Day 9: Everest Base Camp
See Rongbuk Monastery and Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp is either of two base camps on opposite sides of Mount Everest. South Base Camp is in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 metres and North Base Camp is in Tibet at 5,150 metres. These camps are used by mountain climbers during their ascent and descent.
Day 10: Nepal
Cross the spine of the Himalaya and descend into Nepal- a landlocked country in South Asia in the Himalaya. Nepal has a diverse geography including fertile plains, forested hills and eight of the world’s ten tallest mountains including Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth.
Day 11: Kathmandu
Journey will be ends in legendary Kathmandu- capital city of Nepal. Topmost attractions of Kathmandu are Boudhanath, Swayambhu, Rani Pokhari, Durbar squares and Pashupatinath temple. Kathmandu valley is regarded as an enormous treasure house of art and sculptures. Kathmandu is home to a numerous museums and art galleries including National Museum and Natural History Museum of Nepal.
Day 12: DEPARTURE
Drop to airport to take flight for onward destinations.
