| Arunachal Pradesh is the eastern
most state of India, bordering Burma in the East and China
in the North. It is famed for its scenic beauty and colorful
warrior tribes. Arunachal is perhaps a small bit of paradise
that survived on earth. Nestling on the eastern Himalayas,
it is watered by five major rivers cascading down from
the Himalayan glaciers. The simple, friendly and hospitable
people of Arunachal are of Mongoloid tribe with a glorious
heritage of arts, crafts and enchanting folk songs. The
evergreen forests, the virgin floral and faunal varie- |

| ties, the inspiring mountains,
and snow clad peaks-all makes the state a unique attraction.
The State has several wild flower species including over
500 orchids; insects of numerous species; more than 500
species of arifauna; hundreds of other animals, and perhaps
several others not yet discovered and defined.
This area has only recently been opened to foreign tourist,
therefore, the accommodation in the region is basic and
not of any star category. To visit all foreign nationals
require restricted area permit (RAP). |

| The evenings can be spent singing
and dancing with the tribal - each tribe having its own distinct
music and culture. Assam is undoubtedly a paradise for the tourists. |

Day 01 : Arrive Kolkata |
| Meeting and assistance on arrival and
transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel Hindustan International. |

02 : Kolkata-Guwahati by air |
| In time transfer to
airport to connect flight for Guwahati. Meet and greet
in Guwahati Airport and transfer to city. After lunch
city sight seeing followed by Brahmaputra river cruise
on board Alfreshco. O/N in Hotel Landmark or similar.

03 : Guwahati-Bomdila by surface |
| After breakfast drive
to Bomdila (8000 ft) 340 km/9 hrs. (240 km plain road
and rest 100 km mountainous road).Entry formalities and
Inner Line Permit Check at Assam Arunachal border town,
Bhalukpong. Enroute visit the famous Tipi Orchidarium.
O/N in Elusium Lodge or similar. |

04 : Bomdila - Thembang trek |
| Morning acclimatization trek
to GRL Monastary (3 km + 2 km)and visit Bomdila Main Market.
Early lunch and drive to Thembang (7052 ft ) 45 km/2 & 1/2
hrs. (25 km good road plus 20 km gravel dirt road). O/N in Camp.

05 : Thimbang - Semnak trek |
| Trek to Semnak (7500 ft ) 6 km/3 hrs.
Enroute visit Gonthung village and Pangma village. O/N in Camp.

06 : Semnak – Lagam trek |
| Trek to Lagam village (7800 ft) 7 km/5
hrs. Visit the local village and tribes. O/N in Camp. |

07 : Lagam - Chandar trek |
| Trek to Chandar village
(9200 ft ) 12 km/6 hrs. Enroute explore the tribal life

12 : Dirang - Twang by surface |
| Drive to Tawang 145 km/ 6 hrs. Enroute
visit Hot Water Spring and Paradise lake at Sela Pass (13700
ft.). Tawang, a Buddhist pilgrimage site, where the Dalai Lama,
the spiritual leader of the Tibetians goes to preach and pray

| Full day visit Tawang Monastary
- 400 yrs old with 500 resident monks and center of Mahayana
Buddhism, houses priceless buddhist texts and scriptures.
Tawang Memorial, Birth Place of HH V1 Dalai Lama Urgeling
Gompa, Crafts Emporium, etc. Monastery which was constructed
in the 17th century is even today the local point of Spiritual
life of the Buddhist of the region. The Monpas are

| simple, gentle and courteous people.
They are friendly and possess a rich heritage of culture.
They dress well in artistically designed clothes. Their
communal life is rich and happy. They follow Buddhist
religion and profess Mahayana Bhuddhism which centre around
the Tawang Monastery. Each house has a small chapel attached
to it . After lunch drive to Peti Tso lake, an high altitude

14 : Twang |
| Full day visit Sheru
and Pamaghar, a traditional Monpa village and Manjushree
Vidhyala. Evening enjoy Monpa cultural programme. O/N
in Hotel Gorichen. |

15 : Twang - Bomdila by surface |
| Drive to Bomdila 185 km/ 7 hrs.
After early breakfast drive to Bomdila. En-route visit
Jang water fall and Indo China War Memorial at Jaswantgarh.
It is 8500ft, a pictureque mountain covered with snow
alomost all the year. Tribes Monpa of this area are found
in the Jang villages. In this region are the Mahayana
Buddhist. The Mijis are a small tribes numbering a few
thousand of souls. Their tradition says that they were
originally settled in the plains of Assam. They have also
come under the influence of Bhuddhism though they are
not Bhuddhist in strict sense. Evening witness the tribal
dance and explore the surroundings. O/N in Elysium or
similar.

16 : Bomdila - Itanagar by surface |

| Drive to Itanagar 330
km/8-9 hrs. Enroute visit Shertukpen tribal village and
Padma Choeling Monastary at Rupa. Upon arrival in Itanagar
check in at Hotel Donyi Polo Ashok. |

17 : Itanagar |
| Morning after breakfast visit
J N Museum, State Emporium and local market. After lunch drive
down to Ziro 150 km/4 hrs. O/N in Hotel Blue Pine. |

18 : Itanagar – Zero by surface |
| After breakfast sight
seeing of Ziro. Visit Bulla and Hong Village of Apatanis,
Tarin Fish Farm, Emporium, local market, etc. The Apatanis
are settled agriculturists inhabiting the valley around
Zero- the headquarters of Lower Subansiri district. The
men folk tie the hair in top-knots and tattoo the faces.
Wearing of circular nose plugs is the most characteristics
aspect of ornamentation of Apatani women. The Apatanis
are good cultivators and practise both wet and terrace
cultivation. Paddy cum fish culture is very popular among
them. Unlike other tribes of Arunachal their econiomy
is stable.. Also visit Tarin fish farm, Emporium, museum
and local market. Visit Hong-Hari-Bulla-Bamin Michi villages
of Apatani tribes. Evening traditional cultural programme
and dinner. Evening time traditional Cultural programme
and Dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel Blue Pine. |

19 : Zero-Tezpur by surface |
| Morning after breakfast drive
to Tezpur 270 km/7 hrs. Enroute visit the famous tea gardens
and plantations. Upon arrival check in at Tiger Hill Resort.

20 : Tezpur-Guwahati - Kolkata |
| After breakfast drive to Gauhati 180 km/4
hrs in time for flight to Kolkata. Meeting and assistance on
arrival and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay. |

21 : Leave Kolkata |
| In time transfer to international airport
to connect flight back home. |
