EXPLORE THE LAND OF DAWN LIT MOUNTAINS
ARUNACHAL PRADESH
Arunachal Pradesh is the eastern most state of India, bordering Burma in the East and China in the North. It is famed for its scenic beauty and colorful warrior tribes. Arunachal is perhaps a small bit of paradise that survived on earth. Nestling on the eastern Himalayas, it is watered by five major rivers cascading down from the Himalayan glaciers. The simple, friendly and hospitable people of Arunachal are of Mongoloid tribe with a glorious heritage of arts, crafts and enchanting folk songs. The evergreen forests, the virgin floral and faunal varie-
ties, the inspiring mountains, and snow clad peaks-all makes the state a unique attraction. The State has several wild flower species including over 500 orchids; insects of numerous species; more than 500 species of arifauna; hundreds of other animals, and perhaps several others not yet discovered and defined.

This area has only recently been opened to foreign tourist, therefore, the accommodation in the region is basic and not of any star category. To visit all foreign nationals require restricted area permit (RAP).
The evenings can be spent singing and dancing with the tribal - each tribe having its own distinct music and culture. Assam is undoubtedly a paradise for the tourists.
